Rules of Conduct

  1. 1. Every student should bring with him/her daily the school dairy. If a pupil loses the dairy he/she will be subjected to disciplinary action. A fine will be levied and a new dairy will have to be purchased.
  2. 2. Undisciplined behaviour in the school bus will make the pupil ineligible to use school transportation.
  3. 3.Care must be taken for all school property and no student should scratch or spoil the desk or chairs or damage any school furniture, write or draw anything on the walls or in any way damage things belonging to others. Damage done, even by accident, should be reported at once to the appropriate authority. Any damage done will be made good by the one who does it. Anyone who sees some things damaged should report the matter even if she/he does not know who has done it. Each class will be responsible for looking after all class property.
    • 4. a) No books (other than text books or library books), magazines or papers may be brought to the school
    • b)Pupils are forbidden to bring crackers, explosives and other dangerous material to school. Disciplinary action will be taken against such offenders.
    • c) Money should not be lent or borrowed or articles exchanged. Students are not allowed to make any collection of money for any purpose without the specific permission of the Principal.
  4. 5.All should be careful not to litter paper or rubbish anywhere in the school premises. They should use the bins provided for the purpose.
  5. 6. Running, playing or shouting inside the school building and on the veranda is not allowed.
  6. 7. Students are requested to speak English in the school.
  7. 8. Students are expected to be in the school by 8.30 am. Those who reach before the bell should remain in the class room and study silently. Late-comers will not be permitted to attend the school
  8. 9.No students can leave the premises during school hours except with the permission of the Principal.
  9. 10. The school authorities do not hold themselves responsible for the student’s loss of money, books, clothes etc. Articles found in the school premises are to be handed over to the school office.
  10. 11.Pavithrites should behave in a courteous manner wherever they go. They should always remember that the school is judged by their conduct. They should greet teachers when they meet them.
  11. 12.The school reserves to itself the right to dismiss student whose diligence or progress in studies is steadily unsatisfactory or whose conduct is harmful to other students or whose guardians show little interest in the progress of their wards. Immorality, grave insubordination, contempt of authority or willful damage to property is always a sufficient reason for immediate dismissal.
  12. 13.A student who uses unfair means, and/or receives or gives assistance in any form during test will be given zero in the subject, a warning card. Repetition of the same will result in dismissal.
  13. 14. Sportsman-Spirit means, among other things, right behavior on and off the field, ability to take loss or defeat without complaint or victory without gloating, and readiness to treat one’s opponents with fairness, generosity and courtesy, also team spirit and leadership, readiness to help the team play well and to sacrifice one’s own narrow interests for the sake of the team, readiness to learn to be taught and to improve oneself steadily. This implies regularity in coming for practice and regular participation in the school matches
  14. 15. Students are prohibited from wearing gold ornaments in the school.


SCHOOL TIMINGS

Kindergarten Monday to Friday 08:30 am to 12:30 pm
Class 1 to 10 Monday to Friday 08:30 am to 03:30 pm
Saturday 08:30 am to12:30 pm


Note:

The school may decide to take additional classes based on requirements. Parents of those class levels will be informed about such classes and their timings.


Late Coming :

All Students must come to school on time and must be in their respective classes before 8:30 am.

We request all parents to cooperate and ensure that their wards come to school on time and help instill discipline and value for time in our students. The school views repeated late coming seriously. Exceptions are made only in cases of emergency or when substantiated with genuine reasons by the parents of the child.

Students who habitually come late to school will be warned and a note would be sent in the School Diary, which needs to be duly acknowledged by the parents and signed. Parents are required to advise their wards to come to school on time. If students continue to come late despite such efforts, parents would be called and asked to pick up their ward(s), and the student(s) will not be allowed to attend school on that day.



Permissions :

Parents can seek permission from the School Office to take their ward before the completion of the school day for genuine reasons that may include medical consultations or any other unavoidable reasons that may require the presence of the student

  • • Only Parents/Guardians are allowed to come and pick up the ward. The students will not be sent along with Drivers or other such persons.
  • • Upon receiving suitable authorization from The Principal, the School Office will provide Parents/Guardians with a 'Student Gate Pass'. Parents/Guardians are required to hand over the Student Gate Pass to the Security before leaving the campus with their ward(s).
  • • Students who do not opt for School Bus Facility will not be allowed to use the service on any condition.
  • • The School WILL NOT grant any permissions during Assessments/Examinations or on the eve of long weekends/holidays.


Absenteeism :

  • • It is mandatory for every student to maintain a minimum of 85% Attendance to be eligible to appear for Half-Yearly and Final-Examination of the school.
  • • Parents will have to specify the reason for taking leave in the leave record page of the diary, if it is for one day. If it extends leave letter addressing to the class teacher / The Principal will have to be submitted.
  • • It is mandatory for students to be present on the First and/or last working day before/after Long Breaks and Vacations. If students absent themselves on the first and/or last working day before and after Long Breaks/Vacations, their parents would have to compulsorily meet the respective Class teacher & Principal without which the student WOULD NOT be allowed to attend regular classes
  • • For students who are unwell or have medical conditions that require them to avail long leave. Parents are required to write a leave letter addressed to The Principal requesting for the same. They would be required to attach relevant medical documents including a Medical Certificate from a Registered Medical Practitioner.

Student IDCard :

It is mandatory for all students to always wear their 'Student ID Card' when in the school campus. Students are required to maintain their ID Cards in proper condition. Student ID Cards that are damaged/discoloured/broken/lost, must be immediately replaced and is the responsibility of the respective student and his/her parents/guardians.



Replacement of Student IDCard

It is mandatory for Parents to immediately replace their ward(s) 'Student ID Card' in case of loss/misplacement/damage of the existing Student ID Card. Parents are required to pay the applicable 'Card Replacement Fee' at the School Office and collect the replacement.


School Uniform and Dress Code :

  1. 1. Students must compulsorily wear the Uniforms prescribed by the school on all working days.
  2. 2. On Wednesday & Saturday students must wear the 'House Uniform' as per their respective house.
  3. 3. It is mandatory for students to wear the School Uniform when representing the school in events/competitions/workshops/seminars.
  4. 4. School Uniform worn by the students, should be clean, well ironed and presentable. The school will not allow ill-fitting uniforms, especially when students have outgrown the uniforms that they wear.
  5. 5. Students are required to mandatorily wear only the sweaters prescribed by the school. (color : Grey without any design or text)
  6. 6. Students are required to wear only the prescribed school shoes and socks. Sports Shoes and other sneakers will not be allowed even if they match the colour of the school shoe. For the current academic year (AY 23-24), the school has prescribed Black Shoes for all students.
  7. 7. Students are not permitted to wear the School Uniform when visiting public places (viz. Malls/Movie Theaters / Coffee Shops etc).
  8. 8. Students who are a part of the school team (representing in specific games/field events etc) and who have been authorized by the Principal to attend practice sessions are required to wear appropriate and decent sportswear (T-Shirts and Knee Length Shorts for both Boys & Girls).
  9. 9. Students who do not comply with the above rules, will be warned. Repeated non-compliance will lead to disciplinary action and the parents would be required to meet The Principal.


School Uniform and Dress Code :

NOTE: Students are not allowed to change into Colour Dress as a part of the regular school-working days.

Exemptions permitting Students to wear Colour Dress :

• Students of all Class Levels are allowed to wear Colour Dress on their Birthdays

• Students of all Class Levels are allowed to wear Colour Dress on Children's Day(i.e. November 14th of every year). However all students are required to strictly adhere to Dress Code stipulated below.



Colour Dress Code :

• Boys: Ethnic Wear or Comfortable T-Shirt/Shirt and Trousers/Jeans (Torn Jeans of any kind will not be permitted)

• Girls: Ethnic Wear or Comfortable T-Shirt/Shirt and Trousers/Jeans or Frocks/ Skirts below the Knee. (Sleeveless outfits/Shorts/Three Fourths/Tank Tops/Tight Fitting Outfits will not be permitted)

NOTE: Outfits that are in approriate will strictly not be allowed. Students who are found wearing such inappropriate outfits would be sent back home for a change of clothes.



Appearance, Grooming & Hygiene :

The school expects students to maintain high standards of personal hygiene. The school expects students to be well groomed when they come to school.




For Girls:

The School does NOT permit the following -

  1. • Long Hair kept open
  2. • Colouring of Hair or Streaking portions of it.
  3. • Wearing Makeup (that includes Lipstick, Gloss, Eye Shadows, Eye Liner).
  4. • Long nails , Nail Polish to be worn, transparent or otherwise
  5. •Tatoos of any kind.
  6. • Jewellery, Dangler earrings and bracelets, friendship bands or any other such fancy bands.


For Boys:

The School does NOT permit the following -

  1. • Long hair covering the shirt collar, any part of the ear, or spiked hair, all other trendy hair styles. (Hair should be evenly cut, worn off the face and should not obstruct sight).
  2. • Colouring of hair, streaking of hair.
  3. • Tattoos of any kind
  4. • Beards and stubble.
  5. • Jewellery, finger rings, bracelets, friendship bands or other such fancy bands.
  6. • Students are allowed to wear watches only from Class VIII. Only inexpensive analog watches are permitted.
  7. NOTE : The school takes no responsibility for loss of jewellery / watches accessories of any kind.



    Expected Standards of Student Behaviour at School :

    1. Students are required to behave in a dignified manner and maintain the decorum of the school at all times.

    2. Students are required to move around the campus in an orderly manner. Students are not allowed to run in corridors, disturb other classes and indulge in loud conversations.

    3. All students are required to treat their fellow students with respect and dignity. All students must address they fellow students as brother / sister. Misbehaviour of students will be viewed very seriously by the School and will result in serious disciplinary actions

    4. Students need to treat all members of the Faculty, the Administrative Staff, the Support Staff and Outsourced Staff with respect. Students who are found misbehaving and/or treating the above mentioned staff with disrespect will be subjected to strict disciplinary action as deemed fit by the School Discipline Committee.

    5. Students are strictly forbidden from carrying money with them. The school does not allow students to exchange money or any other goods amongst themselves in the school. Any expensive merchandise that is found in the possession of students will be confiscated and the parents will be called to discuss the further course of disciplinary action.

    6. Students are strictly not allowed to show any signs of aggressive defiance, disrespect, disruption, non-compliance, physical aggression, indulging in acts of theft or lying, displaying inappropriate affection towards fellow students or staff.

    7. Students are strictly forbidden from shouting, using abusive language, and engaging in physical fights with other students or staff of the school. The School Discipline Committee will take serious view of such occurrences and is authorized to initiate strict disciplinary action against the students that includes suspension or expulsion of the student as deemed fit.

    8. Students are required to always respect and maintain the school property of ever y kind. In the event any student has been found causing damage/desecrating / vandalising school property, the matter will be taken very seriously by the School Discipline Committee. In addition to recovering the cost borne towards recovering the loss from the parents, the concerned student would face strict disciplinary action.

    9. Students are not allowed to throw any objects/food items from windows/doors.

    10. Students are strictly forbidden from chewing gum in the campus.

    11.The school strictly does not allow students to bring electronic gadgets like mobile phones, tablets, laptops or any music players or e-readers, storage devices like pen drives etc to the school. If such devices are found, they will be confiscated by the School and the parents would be required to meet the concerned authorities.

    NOTE: Periodic checks will be conducted by the School to ensure that students do not brings gadgets or any other inappropriate materials to the school. Strict disciplinary action would be taken in case of any violations.



    GUIDELINES FOR PARENTS/GUARDIANS

    Parents are required to go through the instructions given below carefully and comply with the same.

    1. Parents are required to regularly look at the School Diary of their ward(s) to take note of the comments/observations made by the teachers. It is mandatory for Parents to sign their ward(s) diary especially when The Principal / Teachers have written specific comments that require the attention and acknowledgment of the parents.

    2. Parents are strictly not permitted to investigate disciplinary issues/bullying incidents themselves. They are strictly forbidden reprimanding/shouting or physically abusing other children who they believe to be responsible for the said act of bullying/disciplinary issues. All such matters should be brought to the notice of Class Teacher and/or The Principal.

    3. If Parents have been specifically asked to meet The Principal , they are required to report to the School Office as per their scheduled appointment.

    4. Parents are strictly forbidden from directly entering the School Building (including the classrooms or any other learning facilities) to interact with any member of faculty or Support Staff/Academic Leadership team without obtaining prior permission from the School Office to do so.

    5. Parents / Guardians are required to treat all Staff Members with respect and dignity. Using Abusive Language, to intimidate or threaten teachers or any other member of staff will be viewed very seriously by the School Management. This provides sufficient cause to pursue disciplinary action and pursue legal recourse where necessary.

    6. Parents are not allowed to interact with teachers or any other member of staff by calling them on their personal phones/mobiles or through any social media platforms.



    Recommendations to Parents :

    1. Please instruct your ward(s) not to talk to strangers or unknown individuals or accept any items or gifts from them.

    2. Educate your children about Safe Touch and Unsafe Touch. If they are uncomfortable with anybody, they need to inform the parents, the teacher or the school office immediately.

    3. The time that the children spend on the internet and social media needs to be monitored. They must be clearly told not to befriend strangers and exchange or divulge personal information when accessing the social media sites.

    4. We have received feedback from our parents in the past that after school, some of our students are seen buying food items from handcarts located in areas that are neither hygienic nor safe. We request parents to look into this matter and advise their children to refrain from buying from such locations. In exceptional cases, let the children be advised to buy food items from hygienic stores in safe locations.



    SCHOOL FEES

    1. It is mandatory for all the parents to clear the fee dues as per the stipulated deadlines mentioned in the fees card. Late payments would attract the fine we would like to further bring to your notice that we will not entertain any waiver of fine / fees.

    2. Payments are accepted in cash or online (such as UPI),

    3. Parents are requested to collect the fee receipt on the payment date from the office and not to claim that the receipt was not received or any other

    4. Parents are advised to not to send the money with students / teachers / drivers or any other agents. parents will have to visit the school in person & payplaints

    5. It is mandatory for all the parents to clear all the fee dues before the final exam.


    TRANSFER CERTIFICATE

    Parents who wish to apply for transfer certificate are required to contact the school office and make a formal written application and the T.C. request from the joining school.

    Parents will have to pay the applicable fees for T.C. after clearing all the previous balances.

    Transfer certificates would only be handed over to parents and not to any other representatives. T.C. once issued with filled details can not be corrected again without any supportive & authenticated documents .
